What books and other resources do we have in our library?

Sometimes it helps just to know what resources are available and where they are. The topics in this section to the left are extensive secondary source materials, primarily books and published resources, available by visiting Eva Brook Donly Musuem and Archives or requesting our Research Assistance. if you are uable to attend in person.

The jewel in our Archives crown is that the Norfolk Historical Society is pleased to be able to co-operate with the Grand River United Empire Loyalist Association to display over 100 books and directories of their work.

In fact, a number of our Reading Room desk volunteers are members and will be happy to assist if you visit.

Additional resources include, but are not limited to the following, which are accessible under supervision in the Archives Reading Room:

• over 300 large copy books of Land Records 1795-1955
• 120 boxes of indexed document collections, 1790 to early 1900's
• 375 published and printed family genealogies. Our Families Library is one of our prized possesions
• A large collection of historic Maps
• Over 2500 reference books on all aspects of life covering Norfolk County, Ontario, other Provinces, the United States and some of the World.

Please call ahead if you want to visit when a UEL volunteer will be present.
