Has a searchable data base index of older B. C. births, marriages and deaths.

Includes a "Getting started in genealogy" section, Census records, and a surname searchable index of the 1871 census. You should have a look and discover for yourself. A main archive to be explored. "Home Children" of Canada

Work in progress. Between 1869 and the early 1930's, over 100,000 children were sent to Canada from Great Britain during the child emigration movement. Members of the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa are locating and indexing the names of these "Home Children" found in different records held by Library and Archives Canada.
