Transcriber's Preface by John Cardiff

This is a completed partial transcription of the 1941 Southern Ontario Telephone Company Directory, reorganized by surname, rather than community.  It lists names, addresses and phone numbers for that company's customers in Delhi, Port Dover, Port Rowan, Simcoe, Waterford, those living in between -- and Norfolk farmers living near Jarvis and Scotland.

This transcription is not literal. Alphabetic sequencing errors have been corrected, and the letter r has been expanded to 'res' (short for residence), to aid researcher understanding. For more perspective, see  Notes & Perspective.
